Community Relations Program
“The more we can act responsibly and care about each other in whatever manner, the better off we will make our societies.” Craig Hall, from his book, “The Responsible Entrepreneur”
Hall Financial Group’s Community Relations Program and the Craig and Kathryn Hall Foundation
Mission Statement The Hall Financial Group Community Relations Program and the Craig and Kathryn Hall Foundation exist to enhance the quality of life in area communities and help those in need develop greater skills to help themselves. This is accomplished through financial support, in-kind donations and volunteer service.
Program Summary Community support is provided in three ways:
1. Corporate Contributions Hall Financial Group dedicates five percent of its after tax net income to the contributions fund to provide financial support for nonprofit projects and events. Contributions may also include the donation of office space for a specified period of time, business mentoring or the occasional use of Hall Financial Group’s facilities and grounds for community events.
2. Employee Funds Matching A portion of the contributions fund is set aside to match employee contributions to nonprofit organizations up to $500 per person per year, and is available to central corporate full-time Hall Financial Group personnel.
3. Employee Volunteer Time-Off Hall Financial Group allows and encourages all central corporate full-time employees to receive approved paid time-off up to 40 hours annually for participation in volunteer service. These services encompass a wide range of community support from building houses to school programs to participating on nonprofit boards and committees.
Craig and Kathryn Hall personally contribute each year to the Craig and Kathryn Hall Foundation, which in turn makes distributions with advisory input from Hall Financial Group’s Community Relations Committee.
The main geographic focus is in the North Texas area, home of Hall Financial Group’s international corporate headquarters. Consideration is also given to the funding and support of both national and international projects.
